I am able to provide these services on a contract basis during non-business hours as I currently have a full-time job. Development and Installation

If you want a website or are getting ready to start a project, I can help. I have been working with PHP, MYSQL, & JS for nearly 5 years. I have installed and modified tons of open source applications for the web and I usually know which one would best suit your needs. Also, I am good with hosting environments and know what will and will not work.

Proposal Consulting

I will help you build a requirements document for your project that both you and the development company you are looking for can understand. When you get your proposals from the development firms, I can help you understand the proposals and help you find red flags that typically mean the developers will under-perform and/or go over budget. There are many tricks that development companies use to get you to sign their proposal for the amount they want, let me help you get the site you want the first time around.

Website Consulting

I will evaluate your current website, your business model, and the future plans you have for your company and apply them to where you website is currently and where it can go. I can help you to make real-world and affordable steps towards a more profitable and more user-friendly website. The easier your site is to use, the more likely people are to use it. I am able to identify weak points in a website or a user workflow that will frustrate users and cause them to walk away no matter how useful your site is.

I will use my extensive experience with existing free software packages and my experience as a developer to help you create a action list for your website to give your company a solid direction for where you want to go and the goals you want to reach with your site.

Search Engine Optimization Consulting

I will explain what SEO is, and how it works as well as make a list of suggestions for how to improve your site traffic. I use a slew of tools and my experience to evaluate your website and make solid proven steps to improve the standings of your site on the internet and in search engine listings. I DO NOT use or suggest any sort of dark magic, slight of hand, or other steps that cause you to “hide” content or text from search engines. These black hat SEO techniques can and will eventually get you completely de-listed by Google, Yahoo, MSN, or Ask. Automated linking programs, link rings, and hidden text on a page are red-flags that will get you banished permanently.

The tools and steps I suggest will require hard work, tenacity, and time but they will do the specific things that search engines suggest to improve your ranking organically.

I am able to create a quality detailed proposal for your site that you could take to any web development company and they would be able to build your site exactly to the same specification. I do my best to meet and exceed the goals of your company, while explaining what I am doing for you along the way.

I am able to work with you in plain english, give you status/progress reports, and I will give you detailed specific timelines of the work I have done for you. I will not hide the work I am doing from you, because I feel that it creates a more open and trusting relationship between my clients and myself.
